    Use to open a barcode-scanning widget for packaged food products. This tool is appropriate when the user wants to scan a product from an attached image, use a live camera feed, upload a package photo, identify a food item by barcode, or inspect Open Food Facts data inside ChatGPT before discussing the product. The tool does not itself identify a barcode on the server; instead it opens the widget, passes any optional image file into the widget input, and lets the widget perform barcode detection and product lookup interactively. Prefer this tool over plain text discussion whenever the user needs a scan-first experience or wants to work from a real package image.
